Amadeus International Competition of Choral Composition, IX Edition – Prize for Category BĪll composers who, in accordance with these rules, submit harmonisations or compositions on any theme for same voice choirs with piano accompaniment, can take part in this category. Category B: SAME VOICE CHOIRS (“VOCES IGUALES”) WITH PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT Amadeus International Competition of Choral Composition, IX Edition – Prize for Category AĪll composers who, in accordance with these rules, submit harmonisations or compositions on any theme for children’s choirs in acapella can take part in this category. Category A: ACAPELLA FOR SAME VOICE CHOIRS (“VOCES IGUALES”) In all technical aspects, such as vocal range (tessitura), the works will be aimed at non-professional choirs. The texts must be written in Latin, Spanish or any dialect of Extremadura.ģ.7. In all cases the responsibility rests with the composer of the work.ģ.6. And, if the texts or melodies require it, they must have the appropriate permissions for their use and publication. Compositions which use previous material as a base (melody, text, etc.) must accurately indicate the source. Each composer can enter a maximum of 4 works (2 in each category).ģ.5. They must be unpublished and unrecorded either partially or completely before the judges decision.ģ.4. The works cannot be longer than 3 minutes at the metronome speed indicated by the composer.ģ.3. The score can encompass and specify all kinds of body language (body percussion, sign language, short choreography, etc.).ģ.2. The suitability of the technical difficulty, the text (themes) and any educational element which enriches the composition will be taken into account.
